PT Bhumi Jati Power Participated in Commemorating World Environment Day 2025 in Jepara Regency

Jepara, June 5, 2025 – PT Bhumi Jati Power (hereinafter “BJP”) actively took part in the commemoration of World Environment Day 2025, which was held on June 5, 2025, by the Jepara Regency Government at Tanggultlare Beach located in Tanggultlare Village, Kedung District, Jepara Regency. The event brought together around 300 participants, consisting of various elements such as the Jepara Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), local communities, students, and environmental activist communities, gathered to jointly contribute to preserving nature. This environmental day event carried the theme “Mageri Segoro” or Fencing the Sea, which is the main tagline for the celebration of Environment Day in Central Java Province. Through this tagline, the Central Java Provincial Government intends to convey one of its priority programs along the coast of Central Java Province, namely mangrove planting. On this Environment Day celebration, the BJP donated 1,000 Rhizophora mangrove seedlings, along with supporting tools, to aid the planting activities.

The activity began with a morning assembly led directly by the Deputy Regent of Jepara, accompanied by the Forkopimda of Jepara Regency. In his remarks, the Deputy Regent of Jepara expressed his appreciation for the contributions of various parties who have played an active role in making the 2025 Environment Day commemoration a success. “This is real evidence of the synergy between the government, private sector, and community in protecting the environment,” he said.

After completing the assembly, participants, along with the Deputy Regent and the Jepara Forkopimda, conducted a beach clean-up by collecting plastic waste and other debris. Not only cleaning the beach, but this activity also became a medium for education about the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of coastal areas. Furthermore, mangrove planting was carried out by all participants in the event.

For additional information, since 2023, the BJP has played an active role in implementing the Environmental Conservation Pillar by planting and caring for more than 35,000 mangrove seedlings along Tanggultlare Beach.

This event was more than just a ceremonial activity; it reflected a strong and ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability. BJP will continue to support the mangrove conservation program in Tanggultlare Village through various programs such as providing seedlings, technical assistance, generating derivative products, and empowering coastal communities. The 2025 World Environment Day commemoration at Tanggultlare Beach serves as proof that multi-party collaboration can have a positive impact on both the environment and society.
