PT. BHUMI JATI POWER

Pursuant to the PPA, BJP will build, own and operate the 2 x 1,000 megawatt Coal Fired Power Plant located in Tanjung Jati B complex, Jepara Regency, Central Java Province, Indonesia and will sell all of the electricity output PT. PLN (Persero) for a period of 25 years after commencement of the commercial operation phase.

The establishment of PT. Bhumi Jati Power is in line with the Nawa Cita program –a set of priority agendas and a development strategy proposed by the Indonesian Government - launched by the President of Republic Indonesia, particularly the ”Cita” (dream, vision, goal) to achieve sovereignty and independence in the energy sector through establishment of power plants spread across Indonesia with the total capacity of 35,000 megawatt.

PT Bhumi Jati Power is a limited liability company incorporated in Indonesia with three shareholders; namely, Sumitomo Corporation, The Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc. and PT United Tractors, Tbk.

Sumitomo Corporation is one of the world’s largest global trading companies with operations across 67 countries. Its business activities cover a wide range of industries, one of which is electric power supply on a global scale.

The Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc. is an electricity utility with its operational area of Kansai region of Japan and worldwide. It is one of the largest investor owned electricity companies in the world.

PT United Tractors, Tbk. is a part of PT Astra International, Tbk. which engages in distribution of heavy equipment and mining, with the biggest market share in Indonesia.

Synergizing the respective expertise of the shareholders, PT Bhumi Jati Power embarks on the journey of building and operating the most stable, efficient and environmental-friendly power plant in Indonesia.
