BJP Goes to School Program, a Corporate Commitment to Education

PT Bhumi Jati Power (“PT BJP”), in collaboration with PT Bhumi Jepara Service (“PT BJS”), successfully conducted the Goes to School Program (“Program”) on January 15, 2026. This Program was located at SMAN 1 Tahunan, Jepara. Previously, the same Program was also successfully conducted in SMPN 5 Jepara in September 2025.

The Program was attended by 70 students in grades 10, 11, and 12, and was also followed by 10 teachers. This Program reflects the BJP and BJS’s ongoing commitment to support local education and strengthen engagement with the younger generation in Jepara.

As part of the Employee Involvement Program within the CSR Program Implementation, employees from several departments also support the program by actively sharing their knowledge with the young generation. The involvement was coming from the HSE Department, the Operations Department, and the Procurement Department.

At this time, the BJP & BJS team not only shared about environmental awareness, but also topics related to personal development and self-awareness during adolescence.

The program began with an inspiring opening speech by CSR Manager, Mr. Ari Wibawa, and CSR leader, Mr. Handoko Agung, who emphasized the importance of personal development and self-awareness during adolescence. In this session, they shared practical insights on overcoming common challenges faced by teenagers, encouraged students to build confidence, and outlined strategic steps to help them plan and achieve their future aspirations.

Mr Ari Wibawa said, “Through this Program, we aspire to inspire students to dream bigger, to challenge their own limits and confidently pursue their academic and professional goals while nurturing a strong commitment to environmental stewardship, contributing to a more sustainable future for the community.”

Mrs. Ida Fitriningsih, the headmaster of SMAN 1 Tahunan, expressed her gratitude to the BJP and BJS teams for selecting SMAN 1 Tahunan as the Program's location. “We are truly honoured to be chosen as one of the locations for the BJP/BJS Goes to School Program. Hopefully, the students will obtain much more knowledge in environmental issues and increase their spirit to chase their dreams.”

The event was then followed by the sharing of an environmental awareness campaign from the Environmental section with some interesting topics such as B3 Waste (Toxic and Hazardous Materials), energy efficiency, rainwater harvesting installation, and waste handling management. These sessions aimed to enhance students’ environmental literacy while fostering a sense of responsibility toward sustainable practices in daily life.

As a form of support for the school’s participation in the Adiwiyata Program at the national level, BJP and BJS symbolically donated 15 solar-powered lamps with 10 watts/lamp to the school. This contribution not only supports energy conservation within the school environment but also serves as a practical demonstration of renewable energy technology.
