Achieved Unit 5 COD
Jepara, 17 March 2022 – PT. Bhumi Jati Power (hereinafter “BJP”) as the project company of Tanjung Jati B Unit 5 & 6 Project (hereinafter the “Project”) is pleased to announce that the Unit 5 COD was successfully achieved at 00:00 on 17th March 2022.
It was a long and challenging journey to achieve Unit 5 COD which is one of the biggest key milestones of this Project. During the past 2 years, the Project have been suffered the effect of COVID-19 pandemic which caused the delay and difficulty in construction and commissioning activities. However, with the support by PT. PLN and tremendous efforts by our EPC contractors and all concerned parties engaged in the Project, we could achieve this milestone in the agreed time line.
Since Unit 5 COD, PT. Bhumi Jepara Service (hereinafter “BJS”), who is the Operation and Maintenance (hereinafter “O&M”) company of the Project, followed up O&M readiness activities towards Unit 5 COD and successfully commenced the O&M service for Unit 5 and common systems. BJS will continue to have close coordination with relevant parties and provide professional services for O&M of the Project to contribute to the stable and safety operation of Jawa Bali Grid.
Site Project Manager of BJP, Mr. Hadi, with a sense of pride in this achievement, commented “It is pleasure for all members concerned in the construction and commissioning activities that finally we reached this point on the big achievement of the Project milestone i.e Unit 5 COD. On behalf of BJP, I would like to deliver congratulations and gratitude for every one for our collaborative effort to tackle the hard time we have been faced to achieve Unit 5 COD milestone. And from now on TJB Unit 5 entered to the commercial operation and contribute power dispatch to the Jawa Bali Grid. To the same spirit I would again ask everyone to collaborate and continue effort for the achievement of the milestone of Project COD”.
