Announcement of New Station Manager BJS
Jakarta, 1st April 2024 – PT. Bhumi Jepara Service (the “BJS”) as the operation and maintenance company of the TJB5&6 is pleased to announce that the Station Manager of BJS was changed from Mr. John Smart to Mr. Hadi Suwasono who was previously the Deputy Station Manager of BJS. Mr. John finished his assignment as a Station Manager and retired from work.
Mr. John joined BJS in 2019, became the Station Manager in 2020, and led BJS for 5 years and 3 months. When he became the Station Manager, TJB5&6 was still under construction phase and BJS was continuing the O&M readiness activities such as developing Company’s procedures, conducting training, developing asset data and business process flow, selecting 3rd party contractors and so on. He led BJS as the Station Manager with strong leadership and BJS overcame various difficulties during the Covid-19 pandemic, achieved Project Commercial Operation Date on 30th September 2022, moved to the O&M phase, completed 1st Major Maintenance in June 2023. Currently, BJS has more than 300 employees in total, O&M structure has been established, and power plant have been operated in stable condition providing reliable electricity with high efficiency to the grid.
Mr. John comments that “I commenced in the power industry on 14 December 1970, and for me it’s been an incredible journey over 53+ years. To complete my working life as Station Manager TJB5&6 and as a part of the BJS / BJP Team has been an enormous privilege which I know I will look back to with pride in the years to come. During the last 5 years we have faced the challenges of construction & commissioning, plus delays and changed work practices during the Covid period. Since moving to the O&M phase we have worked our way through the warranty period, our first major maintenance, and many other events. The BJS team has dealt with all the challenges and you each undertook whatever was asked of you. Therefore, as the Station Manager and lead of the incredible BJS site team, I’m very grateful for the efforts and the manner in which each and every BJS employee has bought enthusiasm, a keen attitude to succeed, and care for their work activities and their colleagues. It’s been a great honour and privilege to work with all of the BJS and BJP team. I wish the best success for BJS/BJP business and personal success and satisfaction for each of you and family.”
New Station Manager, Mr. Hadi has worked at the TJB existing units for 9.5 years start from 2005-2006 as Commissioning Engineer of B&W Boiler on TJB1&2 then for TJB3&4 start 2009-2017 with PT. Central Java Power (“CJP”) and joined BJS/PT. Bhumi Jati Power (the “BJP”) as the project company in 2017. He also has worked for BJS/BJP since the beginning of the construction and BJS/BJP establishment as the Deputy Station Manager and Operational Manager of BJS and Site Project Manager of BJP. He is very knowledgeable about O&M of power plant and has a vast experience of working in TJB.
Mr. Hadi comments that “It is an honour for me to receive this new assignment as Station Manager of TJB5&6 and new challenge in my career to continue the successful O&M for TJB5&6 to achieve high Plant performance with stable, safe and environment compliance. Through the past experienced during TJB5&6 project stage where we able to tackle the hard time during Covid 19 pandemic and prepared the readiness of BJS team facing PCOD, now I do have the same believe with the solid team we will moving forward to continue the next milestone achievement”
