Light Fuel Oil delivery has been commenced


Jepara, 2nd June 2020 - PT. Bhumi Jati Power (hereinafter “BJP”) as the project company of Tanjung Jati B Unit 5 & 6 Project (hereinafter the “Project”) is pleased to announce that delivery and receiving of Light Fuel Oil (hereinafter “LFO”) at the LFO tank was commenced on 27th April 2020. Until the end of May 2020, approximately 1,000 kilolitres have safely been delivered, which are being used for commissioning of auxiliary boiler.

In accordance with the direction of Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, LFO used for commissioning and operation of the Plant is “Biodiesel B30” blended with 30% of FAME. It is expected to contribute to reduce GHG emission and energy security in Indonesia.

LFO Delivery was one of the important milestones in 2020 for the Project, which enables the Project to commence the commissioning of the main thermal equipment and auxiliary systems. It was successfully achieved despite many challenges including numerous coordination matters with the multiple related parties, difficulties in construction and procurement of the necessary facilities and systems, etc.

Site Project Manager of BJP, Mr. Hadi Suwasono commented “It is such a good promising start of FY 2020 with this milestone achievement for us to move forward to tackle the challenge with strong spirit”. He continued talking about the Project “Needless to say, at this point of time, the Project is facing certain difficulties to execute the activities as planned schedule since it is being impacted by global pandemic of COVID-19. However, we will strive to achieve the key milestones, step-by-step, to realize the commencement of commercial operation in 2021 on schedule, as always Working together for working better”.
