Togetherness of BJP-BJS Employees in Holy Month of Ramadhan
Jepara, 27th April 2022 – PT Bhumi Jati Power (hereinafter “BJP”) as the owner of Tanjung Jati B Expansion (Jawa 4) Unit 5 & 6 and PT Bhumi Jepara Service (hereinafter “BJS”) as the O&M Company conducted Buka Puasa Bersama with the employees on 21st and 26th of April 2022 at Sekuro Village Hotel to celebrate the Holy Month of Ramadhan.
As we know that since in the early 2020, Covid-19 outbreak have been spreading in Indonesia and globally. That condition gave various negative impacts to many sectors and situations, including the restriction to gather many people in one place. BJP/BJS also have been limiting the mass event including iftar event during the Holy Month of Ramadhan.
Nevertheless, during the Holy Month of Ramadhan in 2022, the condition is getting better and improved, since most of BJP/BJS employees have already been vaccinated by booster vaccination. It is giving an opportunity to BJP/BJS to implement gathering event in the form of “Buka Puasa Bersama”.
With reference to Covid-19 health protocol, the “Buka Puasa Bersama” were held in the open air in 2 batches, wearing masks and keeping sufficient social distance each other to avoid risk of infection and transmission of COVID-19 Virus. The 1st batch was on 21 April with attendance of 200 employees and followed by the 2nd batch on 26 April 2022 with attendance of 94 employees.
During the event, the Station Manager of BJS, Mr. John Smart said that “Coinciding with Kartini’s Day, I hope that the spirit inspires us to always give our best in everything we do”. Meanwhile, Site Project Manager of BJP, Mr. Hadi Suwasono, said that “the meaning of Fasting is not only refrain from eating and drinking, but also from all factor which can break the fasting. The fasting also teaches us to keep us away from all the bad attitudes which can break our fasting, we also strengthen relationship each other in this fasting month therefore in the end of Ramadhan which is Eid Al Fitr Day will become our victory day”. The similar ideas about fasting also said by the Deputy of Station Manager of BJS, Mr. Katsutoshi Yurugi, “Fasting is such a hard thing but Moslem colleagues are though by doing it for a month”.
With this event, the Management of BJP and BJS expect that it will be the beginning of more agenda of employee gathering in the future. At the event, Mr. Yandamairy Mukhlis as HRGA Manager also said that “Team building might be the next agenda that will be conducted, I hope that everything goes well so we can make it happen”. The Project now has reached Unit Commercial Operation Date (UCOD) of Unit 5 on 17th March 2022 and expected to achieve the completion of Plant construction and commissioning in June-July 2022.
