Strengthening Resilience: BJP Delivers Disaster Mitigation Training in Tanggultlare Village

Jepara, June 2025 – As a company’s commitment to enhancing community preparedness and resilience in facing the potential of disaster, PT Bhumi Jati Power (“BJP”), in collaboration with the Jepara Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency, or Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah Kab. Jepara (“BPBD Jepara”) has successfully conducted disaster mitigation training to the Disaster Response Unit or Satuan Tanggap Bencana (“Satgana”) in Tanggultlare Village, namely "Tangguh Abadi", on Sunday, June 22, 2025.

The training took place in Tanggultlare Village Hall and was attended by 25 members of Satgana Tangguh Abadi, along with several villagers. The program aimed to enhance basic knowledge, awareness, and skills in responding to potential disasters, both natural and non-natural, while also strengthening coordination during emergency situations. Satgana Tangguh Abadi is a rapid response team focused on disaster handling, primarily consisting of the youth aged 19-25 years, and is representative of the Tanggultlare Village Government.

There were two sessions: a theoretical session and a simulation session related to basic life support (such as CPR or cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques), evacuation treatment, firefighting training, and the integration of disaster mitigation principles into village development planning.

"This training is a tangible step in our commitment to support the development of Disaster Resilient Village. We hope that participants can become the frontline responders in disaster management within their communities," said Ari Wibawa Nurma Saputra, as CSR manager of BJP.

Muh. Ali Wibowo, Head of Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of BPBD Jepara, added, "Tanggultlare Village is vulnerable to disasters such as tidal flooding and extreme weather. Through this training, we aim to enhance community preparedness and responsiveness in facing such emergencies. We sincerely appreciate the BJP for facilitating this initiative, and we hope that this collaboration will continue beyond today’s event. “

Collaboration and synergy among the government, the private sector, and the local community are essential in building an effective, responsive, and sustainable disaster management system.
